Hello my name is Jen Brefeld. This is my 12th year teaching at Bethalto East Elementary. I graduated from Greenville College with my Bachelor's in Elementary Education. I then went on to receive my Reading Recovery certificate from McKendree College. I am currently in the process of taking ASL classes to incorporate into my classroom.

Meet The Teacher

I love teaching Kindergarten and seeing how much each one of my students grow and change. We will have fun all school year while working hard learning to read and many other things! This is my 11th year teaching Kindergarten. My first year I taught First Grade along with Reading Recovery.

I grew up in Bethalto and attended Civic Memorial High School. It is wonderful to be able to teach in the community I grew up in. My husband and I have been married for ten years and have two children, Clint 6, and Kaylee 12.

I am so excited to meet each one of you and learn all about your favorite things!
